Ancient LANGRIDGE Genealogy-
Surname spellings: Da LYNGRIGGE, DALYNGRIGGE, DALYNGRUGE,  (the name is derived from the extinct Manor of Dalyngruge on confines of the parishes of East Grinstead and West Hoathley, Sussex) de LANGERYGGE, LANGEREGG, LANGEREGGE, LANGERICHE, LANGERISCHE, LANGERYGGE, LANGREDG, LANGREGE, LANGREGGE, and others!
Are all these variations of    LANGRIDGE  ?
There are several historical references to the family at Dallington although from one reference it appears the Manor itself disappeared or was sacked sometime in the 1100s.  The Da Lyngrigge family, in it’s various spellings,  can be traced back to the mid 1200s together with extensive detail on land holdings.             Further historical  information
