Henry Arthur was the 5th & youngest son Charles FRENCH' (original name: Carl Hans Paule KLUGE), born 20 years after his oldest brother Charles Augustus.
Born at Trichinopoly Madras on 26 Feb 1812, baptised 7 April.
His father Charles, then 55, was in the EIC Muster Rolls as a pensioner.
Henry was a Civil servant for the EIC: Writer, Auditor, Marriage Registrar

Henry Arthur married (1) Mary HANKINS (daughter of Lt.Col. William HANKINS of 9th Regt. N.I.)  at Salem Station Madras, on 28 Dec 1836.
     Mary died in November 1843
Henry Arthur married (2) Camilla NAILER Camilla nee NAILOR (daughter of Thomas NAILER, Accountant) at Vepery Madras on 12 Feb 1844
    Henry Arthur died at Vepery on 3 Jan 1866, when his youngest child was just 4 years old. ??????? to be verified
