| My 3XG grandmother Lucy LANGRIDGE was born at Catsfield in 1802. There was another Lucy LANGRIDGE baptised by David & Lucy at Withyham in 1802. My Lucy's birth was "registered" at the Presbyterian Great Meeting House at Battle in 1812. All 9 of Lucy's siblings had forenames beginning with "L". She married Edward HAYLER of Sedlescombe, at Battle in 1819, and they had 14 children at Battle. In 1820 Lucy was baptised in the Anglican church, possibly so that the children could be baptised. |
