The New Zealand STAPLEYs

The STAPLEY (incl. STAPLEIGH) surname in England dates back to 1199, possibly to 1066.
Consequently there are many STAPLEY descendants scattered around the world, and a number of genealogy researchers.
One researcher grouped the STAPLEYs into clans according to their known origin.

Four different STAPLEY clans have been represented in New Zealand
