Poxwell, Warmwell, & Winfrith Newburgh,
My surname interest in Poxwell is HOOPER,
as my great-grandfather William John NECKLEN's birth is recorded at
Poxwell (Weymouth R.D.) in 1841 as William John son of Jane HOOPER.
The HOOPER cottage was at the North end of Poxwell village, on the Road to Warmwell.
Jane HOOPER my 2XG grandmother was baptised at Church Knowle in 1818, but was raised at Poxwell, and had 4 generations of Richard HOOPER paternal ancestors.
In chronological order, my HOOPERs lived at Winfrith Newburgh from 1685, then Warmwell & Poxwell from 1757.
