The Welsh STAPLEYs of Clan F

The first STAPLEY (of clan F) to go to Wales was Alfred (son of Alfred & Ann) born at Sedlescombe in 1856.
Alfred was the grandson of my GGG grandfather Charles STAPLEY 1787-1875, and descends from my 7XG grandfather Wiliam 1662-1697

In the 1881 census he is shown as"Alfd." with wife Susanah (sic. which must be an error) and baby (Annie) Louise
They were living at 7 Alpine Road Hastings;
